Coaches who have attended the clinic say that the clinics are informative, engaging, and fun. “The course was very professionally conducted and extremely informative,” says one coach with 20 years of boxing experience.
The Bronze Clinic is designed to introduce the newest high-performance boxing concepts and practices to boxing coaches. This is a 16-hour course with participants spending 85% of the time out of their seats and on the floor experiencing drills, exercises, and role-playing games with their colleagues. Some of the topics will include:
Importance of a dynamic warm-up
Coordination drills
Introduction to the Universal boxer
Teaching lessons using EDIP (Explain, Demonstrate, Imitate, Practice)
Basic offenses and defenses
Three stages of sparring
Using coach mitts
Working a corner
Introduction to the American Development Model (ADM)
