Good afternoon USA Boxing members,
Golden Gloves season is here again! We know many of you will be participating in these events over the next several weeks. USA Boxing would like to take another opportunity to remind everyone to renew their membership as soon as possible. This is the busiest time of year for our background screening company, as they not only process background screenings for USA Boxing, but five other Olympic sports, as well. This amounts in hundreds, if not thousands, of pending background screenings at any given time. Please renew your membership ASAP.
For questions on specific sanctions, please refer to the list of event attached to this email. It contains the name, date, LBC, and point of contact for each sanctioned Golden Gloves event (as of 1/31/2024). Please plan accordingly and allow yourself as much time as possible to allow for the completion of the background screen and additional certifications/courses. The Golden Gloves tournament is an American staple in competitive sports. We want to avoid anyone having to miss out.
Sanction Holders:, if any of the contact information is incorrect, please let us know. Also, verify the OIC and Physican(s) for your event are up to date in Webpoint.
Athlete Documents: Membership processes a large number of documents daily. As a result, we respectfully ask to not call into membership to have documents expedited. Documents will not be reviewed or approved over the phone. We ask to allow up to 48 hours for documents to be verified. In many cases, documents are reviewed and processed much sooner.
