This year’s Gulf Gloves will be hosted by the George Foreman Youth Community Center on October 22 & 23.  See the Gulf Calendar for more info.

There will be both Open & Novice brackets.
Pee Wee:  8-9 yrs
Bantam:  10-11 yrs
Intermediate:  12-13 yrs
Junior:  14-15 yrs
Youth:  16-17 yrs
Elite/Senior:  18-40 yrs (with headgear)

Champions in the Pee Wee, Bantam & Intermediate divisions will be awarded with stipend assistance for the Texas Silver Gloves in McKinney, TX to be held December 8-11, 2016.  Texas Silver Gloves Info & Entry Forms.  Note entry deadline is November 26th, 2016.  There is no minimum number of bouts required to enter the Silver Gloves.  The age determination date is January 1st, 2017.

Open champions in the Junior, Youth & Elite divisions will be awarded as members of the Gulf LBC travel team to the USA Boxing National Championships in Kansas City, MO to be held December 4-10, 2016.  Fact sheet and Online Registration.  PLEASE ONLY ENTER THE GULF GLOVES TOURNAMENT IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GO TO KANSAS CITY.  Note entry deadline is November 28th, 2016.  Athletes must have five bouts in order to enter the National Tournament.  The age determination date is December 4th, 2016.  Athletes must be USA citizens to compete.

Pre-registration for the Gulf Gloves can be done via email to bluedanes@sbcglobal.net.  Send Athlete’s Name/Club/DOB/weight/number of bouts.

More information and Entry forms to Register for the Gulf Gloves can be found on the Gulf Calendar.  Forms can be turned in to the Tournament Staff on Saturday, October 15th between 9:00 AM and 12:00 Noon and also on Sunday, October 16th between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at the Eastside Boxing Gym.  DEADLINE for entries is 10/16/2016.

The Gulf LBC Coaches Committee will hold a meeting at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 16th at Eastside Boxing Gym.

There will be more information published soon about an Open Workout and Media Event for Athletes and an opportunity to be on a Gulf INTERNATIONAL Travel Team !!
