GWS is nearly 1 year old!! The success of the Texas Women’s Championships was incredible and noticed by many both in the region and nationally. For 2017, we promised a 3-day tournament and this event WILL be the biggest women’s event in the United States.
To continue our growth and accomplishments, we must begin the process of planning NOW. For this to happen, 1. GWS must organize and solidify its structure and reporting to the Gulf Boxing Association, 2. Leadership roles must be established and responsibilities understood, 3. ALL members must contribute to sub-committees.
The Gulf Women of Strength is a committee established by the Gulf LBC Board of Directors which is under authority of the Gulf LBC Board of Governors (Boxing Clubs) and a sub-division of USA Boxing, an established not-for-profit organization. As such, the Board and its committees operate under rules outlined by the USA Boxing and Gulf LBC bylaws.
