Gulf boxing association has sent one of it’s members to heaven.

Ronald Carter was only 16 years old and had been fighting a rare disease for the past year spending much of his time in hospitals and surgeries, yet always gleamed with a positive outlook and spoke of his faith.

Ronald trained under the tutelage of Louis and Guadalupe Bui with the Wings Like Eagles boxing club within the Savannah Boxing Association and Youth Club family with Clara and Willie Savannah.

While battling his ailment, Ronald would recite his favorite bible verse.  “Psalms 118:17 – I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.”

With our condolences to Ronald’s family, our thoughts are with his mother Mary and 11 year old sister Amira as we celebrate the life of this inspirational young man.
