Romalin Martinez from Elite Boxing Team won via 2nd round stoppage and will compete in the Championship bout tonight for the 112 lbs Intermediate (13-14 yrs) division title!
Allie Edwards, also from Elite Boxing Team, won via 3rd round stoppage and fights again tonight in the 141 lbs Senior Novice division. Allie is defending her 141 lbs Senior Novice title from the 2013 National Women’s Golden Gloves!
Ginny Fuchs from Baby Bull Boxing Academy won her bout over Leesa Daniel from Austin, TX, and competes again today in the 119 lbs Senior Open division versus Samantha Salazar from Dallas, TX.
2012 USA Olympic Bronze Medalist Marlen Esparza is competing in the 112 lbs Senior Open division but has drawn byes thus far.
Special acknowledgement to Megan Ybarra from Troup Boxing Gym in the Southwestern LBC (and frequent Gulf event visitor) who won her bout in the 106 lbs Youth (17-18 yrs) division.

Ginny Fuchs defeated Samantha Salazar by Unanimous Decision. In today’s 119 lbs Senior Open semi-final bout she faces NYC’s Christina Cruz, currently ranked #1 at 119 lbs and the reigning USA Elite National Champion. Good luck Ginny!
Melissa Parker won by TKO in the 3rd round. Today she faces Sasha Villalva from Texas in the 132 lbs Senior Open semi-finals. In the other 132 lbs semi-final is Mikaela Mayer, so if both win, it sets up a rematch of their recent hotly contested bout!
Wednesday’s bout schedule ran long and some bouts were postponed until today. Allie Edwards didn’t get to fight and her bout will take place early in tonight’s lineup. Good luck Allie!
